General: Extremely rare coin. Beautiful toning. Vitellius was emperor for just 8 months. One of four emperors in the Year of the Four Emperors in 69 AD, he was executed by Vespasian's soldiers. The end of his reign marked the the civil war and a new era of peace and prosperity for Rome under Vespasian.
