General: Pupienus (Marcus Clodius Pupienus Maximus Augustus) jointly ruled with Balbinus as Roman Emperor for just three months in 238 AD, during the tumultuous 'Year of the Six Emperors'. The reverse legend PAX PVBLICA translates as 'peace for the public'.
